Albert studied law at Dalhousie University, was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2015 and opened his own family law practice a week later. He has worked with clients from all walks of life, but he noticed something along the way: litigation really doesn’t work.

In 2020, Albert realized that going to court feeds all the wrong wolves inside us, often fails to truly resolve the conflict, and is best considered a last resort. He completed the Riverdale Family Law Mediation Internship Program in 2022.

Albert has worn a lot of hats in his life, and that makes him all the better at understanding his clients’ lives and issues. On top of being a lawyer, he has taught swimming and English as a Second Language, worked retail, cared for plants in greenhouses, organized union bargaining units, brokered commercial agreements, and worked in a legal aid clinic. So whatever your family’s situation, he has probably seen it before.

Albert cultivates calm and compassion in his life, and he brings those to work alongside his professional fair-mindedness, impartiality, and skill in de-escalation.
